SkyView Academy Volleyball

Murph played on the Middle School volleyball team!  She did great & progressed really well throughout the season.  The team didn't do so well, but had a lot of fun & look forward to next year!

Porsches & Pastries

The Kellogg's were kind enough to invite us to the 20th anniversary of Porsches & Pastries!  It is so much fun to see old, new, restored, & fast cars!  One day we hope to make it to a race!

Castlewood Canyon

We spent Labor Day weekend with Ryan's sister, Nat & family.  We went hiking in Castlewood Canyon.

Happy 12th Birthday!

Murph turned 12 & we can't believe she's really an official young woman!  She got an IPod Touch in lui of a birthday party & 2, not 1 Nothing Bundt Cakes!  It was a great day for her!

First Day of School

Little Man & Mrs. Schettler, 1st Grade

The Diva & Ms. Henze, 4th Grade

Murph is starting school at the University of Phoenix because the middle/high school side is under construction!  She & a friend (as well as the rest of the studentbody) are excited to be "going to school at a college!!" Andrea is working at U of P as well.  It is fun for her to be around Murph & the secondary students/staff.

Andrea got a call around lunch time that Little Man had fallen at recess & broken his arm!  She rushed over to the school, thinking people were over-reacting.  The first sign that something was really wrong was thatthe primary principal was outside waiting.  We walked to the clinic where Little Man was lying on a bed, surrounded by the elementary principal, the clinic aide, & the office manager.  Andrea noticed that he was in shock, then noticed that his arm was deformed.  She rushed him to the ER while calling Ryan to have him meet them there.

6 hours later, we found out he had an unstable break in both bones! The doctor sedated him & set in back in place & put a brace on it for a few days before they cast it.  We had to go back & have it checked out before they decided he still needed to be in a cast!  They then told us that one bone had healed but the other one had not so they put him in another cast.  Poor guy has been without PE or recess since the 1st day of school!  7 weeks later, he finally got the cast off for good & all was healed!  What a trooper!

End of Summer

We finished up the summer with a few last minute activities!  We arranged to meet Murph's 4th grade teacher for breakfast.  We try to visit her each year & spending time outside of a school setting was a lot of fun.

Patti came for a visit & took the kids bowling

We attended "Mormon Day" at a Colorado Rockies' baseball game

The Diva was invited to attend a Cheerleading Camp & absolutely LOVED it!!

Andrea went to Time Out for Women here in Denver with some friends.  Patti & Connie came too, but did not stay in the hotel.  We had a true vacation away from home with a lot of inspirational messages.  It was so much fun, we are planning to do it again in 2013!

Utah Trip-Part 2

We spent the 2nd half of our trip with Andrea's family, getting ready for the reception.  The kids had lots of fun at Aunt Lorri's, jumping on the trampoline & swimming.  They also enjoyed the hammock's & fire pit at Grandma Connie's.

Andrea's parents just got home from their mission to the Philippines & we were able to hear them speak in church.  Connie took us all out to Chili's for dinner one night to celebrate the 3 summer birthday's-Patti, Andrea, & Michael.  It was hilarious when they brought dessert out!  You would've thought we hadn't just eaten a huge meal the way we all dove in!  What a bunch of carnivores!!

The reception turned out so pretty! Way to plan, Patti! It was fun to see family & friends that we haven't seen in a long time.

We enjoyed playing games all night, getting to know Lizz, & being together.  Ryan bought Andrea an IPhone for her birthday & it was fun to see her learn how to use it!
