Performances

Between November, 2010 & February, 2011 my kids were involved in a few performances at school. Yes, I am slow in posting, but am determined to get caught up so I am combining them! I love watching my kids perform!!
2nd Grade Civil War Performance
Being the great mom that I am, I thought I had recorded the song "Dixie" that they sang. Apparently not, but I did catch her looking to make sure I was there!
SVA Christmas Choir Concert
I had no idea she could've worn a santa hat-again, great mom, huh?
2nd Grade "Bugz" Performance
The Diva had a solo & was so quiet! Yes, I know; hard to believe, but true!! She did a GREAT job, though.

If I was truly the great mom that everyone thinks I am, I would have TAKEN video, let alone posted video! At least she had the costume!

Birthday #2

Little Man turned 5!! He wanted a fire engine party, so we gave him one (with a little help from a very nice friend!)

The siren & horn was really loud, but after 3 or 4 times around the block, he was thrilled!

They also ate dinner, played musical chairs, and opened presents before eating cupcakes & ice cream.

He wanted orange cupcakes with "ghost" Oreos so this is what we came up with.

A lot of work, but totally worth that face!

Porsches & Pastries

Our friends have a hobby that they have turned into an event called Porches & Pastries. Every year, Jennifer makes tons of pastries & desserts while BJ & his parents show off all their cars & their shop. They have a wonderful BBQ & invite all their friends & customers. It's kind of like a car show for Porsches only!
BJ & Jennifer own this 1964 white one. Dream on, kid!
Hmmm, how many people can we fit in this thing?

5-guess we could get one, ha ha!

Again, dream on, kid!

We were able to drive around the block & go as fast as we could. It was so awesome! Makes us miss our 5-speed manual!

The shop was in the basement of the house-very crazy! They had a ramp up into the garage & driveway. There was also a 3 or 4 car garage to the side of the house-all full of Porsches!! Ryan was in heaven, drooling all over the cars & we both loved driving!! Thanks for a great experience!

Birthday #1

This year we have to do 3 birthday parties, as we will have a 10-yr-old, 8-yr-old, & 5-yr-old! Obviously we weren't thinking ahead when we agreed to this, but here we are! We kicked off the end of Summer with Murph's birthday & decided to do the party right before school started. She opted for a roller skating party at Skate City, where they give her a free pair of skates to keep!

Ryan enjoyed skating with all the kids too!
Thanks for a memorable party, Skate City!

Celebrated at Red Robin-we did this AGAIN w/family 1 week later!

The first day of school was her actual birthday-Little Man picked out the cake!
She celebrated 3 or 4 times over a month!! We still can't believe she's really 10! Happy Birthday, Murph!

BYU vs Air Force

We took the kids to see a BYU game in Colorado Springs when they played Air Force. We had great seats & went to the tailgate party!

Little Man was scared to death of Cosmo!

Cheerleaders in training!

Andrea's dad, brothers, & a friend came for the game, as well as Ryan's parents, niece & nephew. Ryan's sister & family joined us from Northern Colorado as well. This isn't quite all of us, but close enough!
